KaiNews is built with reader privacy in mind. This policy explains what we collect, how we use cookies, and your choices.
1. Data we collect
- Without sign-in: saved stories and preferences may be stored locally in your browser.
- With sign-in: your account email and cloud-saved bookmarks (Firebase).
- Search queries and article views for service delivery — not sold to advertisers.
- Citizen journalism uploads you choose to submit (stored per our retention policy).
2. Cookies & local storage
We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication, theme, and saved articles. Optional analytics and personalization are off by default — manage them on Privacy Options.
3. Third parties
- Firebase (Google) — authentication and cloud sync when enabled.
- News sources — when you open an article, their site policies apply.
- Optional AI providers — only when live KAI analysis is enabled by the operator.
4. Your rights
Under GDPR and similar laws you may access, correct, or delete your data. Clear local data in your browser, or contact privacy@kainoter.com for account requests.
